Billing exceptions for members in disaster areas of Southern California

As a voluntary accommodation for billing leniency due to recent wildfires, policyholders in the zip codes listed below will not receive normally scheduled billing warning notices or non-payment termination notices (i.e., for non-payment cancellation or expiration) during the period of December 5, 2017 through February 3, 2018. In addition, no billing-related fees will be assessed during this time period. Non-payment cancellations which may have already issued on or after December 5, 2017 through December 12, 2017 will be reversed without a lapse, and any related late fees that were assessed during that time period will be waived, reversed, or refunded. If policyholders do not make any payments during this grace period, coverage will not be interrupted due to nonpayment. However, when regular billing resumes at the end of this time period, policyholders will still be appropriately charged for premium that the company earned for the coverage provided. Given this, policyholders may continue to make payments during the grace period in order to practically avoid seeing larger than normal billed amounts at the end of this accommodation period.
