An experience worth writing about

The fast, friendly claims service of Ephraim Hilliard meant the world to Rick Moore after a tornado touched down just 200 yards from his house in Windsor, CO, in June.

The Moores were new to Allied Insurance and the claims process with post-Katrina-created doubts about how their loss would be handled. Had he known Hilliard’s commitment to service, Moore wouldn’t have worried.  It took just one experience for him to become a customer for life.

Within 24 hours of the storm, Hilliard had completed his inspection of the Windsor home and the Moore’s had a substantial check. Hilliard says, “I followed the storm on the news and was anxious to help in any way I could. The aftermath was breathtaking. The house had been pounded by hail and hefty winds. Their entire property was in a shambles—the roof, siding, fence, windows—everything. I just tried to make sure they knew we’d do everything we could to get them back to normal.”

Three days later, the Moores had the completed damage estimate and another check. And a few weeks later, they earned the honor of being the first house on the block to be repaired; a label that made some neighbors envious.

The local newspaper, The Windsor Beacon, published a letter to the editor on June 19, 2008, in which Moore wrote the following about Allied and Hilliard.

“…They have given us nothing but the best and fastest possible customer service during our time of duress. Watching and hearing my neighbors’ agony dealing with their insurance companies…has guaranteed I will never use another insurance company for my personal property needs.”
